There is a great demand for after-school tuition all over the UK. From A Level tutors to maths and physics tutors, there are plenty of different types of after-school tutors that are in demand. For this reason, it is important to take into account a number of factors when finding tutors:
Types: Are you looking for tuition to prepare for your GCSEs? Or are you preparing for your exams at university?
The vast majority of after-school tutors also offer online tuition. Since the pandemic, online classes have taken a leap forward and have become a very popular method for students, especially for high school and university students who are short of time.
The price of after-school tuition can vary greatly depending on where you live. If you want to look for classes with an after-school tutor in London, it will not be the same price as a tutor from Cardiff. For this reason, the location of the classes usually plays an important role. Another factor to consider is the time it takes for the tutor to travel to your home or the tutor’s years of experience.
On the other hand, the price of primary school tutors, secondary school tutors or school tutors are also different. Here is a table of average prices on the platform:
Average price/hour for private tuition
The advantage of tuition centres is that the classes are mostly face-to-face and the centre ensures that the teacher meets your requirements. However, group classes mean that it is difficult for the teacher to focus on what each student needs. This is why finding a private tutor is the best option.
Is your child having trouble passing their exams? Are you failing a subject at school? After-school tuition is just what you need. Through private tutors, many of whom are teachers or students who have gone through the same thing as you or your child, you can get extra help, tips for studying, help with homework and more.
In addition, after-school tuition is a great tool to fight failure at school, no matter the student’s age. A tutor for maths or any other school subject is also a source of motivation for the student who feels lost, an older friend to whom they can tell their problems and from whom they receive emotional as well as academic help.
Tutoring in the UK has become increasingly popular because of its great advantages. Schools and universities do not always meet the needs of each student. This is why private tutoring is in such high demand. Thanks to the personalised teaching they give to each student, students can learn at their own pace, stop at the parts that are most difficult for them and have an extra role model to inspire them.
In this guide we will look at how to find the best after-school tutor, all the types of after-school tuition you can access and some study tips.
All the ways to find private tutoring in Spain
There are many ways to find private lessons in the UK. Before looking at all the search criteria, you should know that you can find after-school tutors both in tuition centres and privately. However, we recommend that you opt for the second option, as the personalised attention the student receives cannot be compared to a group class.
After-school tuition by level
Generally, private after-school tutors in the UK specialise in particular exams or age groups e.g. primary school maths tutors.
After-school tuition for children.
Private tuition for young children is one of the most popular types of private lessons. In the case of infant students, you can look for tutors who can review what your child has learnt in class. In addition, many parents decide to look for a private tutor to make up for the hours when they work and cannot take care of the child.
