Drawing Tutors – Private Drawing Lessons

Where can I learn to draw?

Drawing is one of the oldest art forms in history and has not yet gone out of fashion, in fact, it has evolved. Learning to draw is a way for both children and adults to express themselves and expand their minds. Through drawing classes you will be able to capture on paper all the imagination you have in a thousand different ways.

Drawing courses for beginners, drawing workshops for a specific style or drawing classes for higher levels are very abundant in UK. Wherever you are, you will easily find an expert drawing tutor who either offers his or her courses privately or is attached to a drawing and painting tuition centre. Do you know which is the best way to learn drawing? We tell you all the advantages and disadvantages of each type of class:

• Private tuition in drawing and painting. There are many illustrators, cartoonists and fine art tutors who offer private tuition in drawing in their spare time. Many of them are active and love to teach their passion. So if you are looking for a drawing tutor at home who is methodical and wise at what they do, private tuition at home is for you. Moreover, with a private drawing tutor, you will be able to practice all the drawing styles you want, as you will be able to choose according to your needs.
• Drawing schools. The growing demand for drawing courses has led to a large number of drawing schools. Most of them are small workshops with few students, which makes learning easier because the drawing tutor can be there for you more. However, to start a pencil drawing course at a school, you will need to adjust your timetable to that of your school and learn from the courses they offer.
• Online drawing courses. After the pandemic, tutors have discovered the modality of online tuition. With them, you can take classes from the comfort of your own home, not be subject to inflexible timetables and be in direct contact with your online drawing tutor for whatever you want.

The drawing and painting classes at FindTutors are divided by characteristics. Each one responds to a series of needs: What level are you? What type of drawing class do you expect? What style of drawing do you want to learn?

Depending on what you enter in the search engine, you will be shown different drawing tutors. The more specific your search, the easier it will be to find your ideal drawing tutor.

• Drawing classes by age. Private tuition can be organised by age: drawing classes for children, drawing classes for adults, drawing classes for university students or vocational students...
• Drawing classes at home or online. Private drawing and painting classes can be in person, in a studio or through private tuition at home. Otherwise, you always have the option of contacting online drawing tutors to teach you virtually.

On the other hand, you will be able to choose your ideal tutor according to the speciality you want to learn, in case you are interested in a specific one. The most popular are:

• Do you want to learn how to draw with photoshop or procreate? You can contact digital drawing tutors and they will explain you all the commands, the best brushes and how to use your graphic tablet.
• Comic book classes and/or manga classes. Both comics and manga are the main forms of drawing style for beginners and experts. Character creation is perfect for people who have a lot of imagination and a lot of desire to create things - contact manga or comic tutors and put all your ideas on paper!
• Illustration classes. Another type of drawing class is an illustration class. Learning how to use programs like Illustrator, After Effects or InDesign is key if you want to become an illustrator and design the best posters, for example.

Additionally, you can contact an artistic drawing tutor or a hyperrealistic drawing tutor by comparing tutors' profiles. They give you a lot of information about their methodology and the style they teach.

In the search engine you can also filter by your location. That way you can find drawing lessons near you and find many drawing tutors in various cities. The most popular are drawing classes in London, drawing classes in Birmingham, drawing classes in Liverpool or drawing classes in Manchester.

4 benefits of drawing classes for children

Drawing classes for children have many advantages. If you still don't know whether to start looking for "drawing classes for children near me" or not, we tell you all the benefits of learning to draw as a child.

• Improves communication with parents and adults. Many children find ways to express themselves through drawing and then show it to parents, tutors or relatives.
• Boost creativity. Imagination runs wild in children's heads, so what better way to unleash it than by enrolling them in drawing classes?
• It perfects psychomotor skills. One of the great benefits of drawing for children is that it improves their grip, their synchronisation and also helps them to improve the psychomotor skills of their hands.
• It promotes relaxation. Drawing is a moment of relaxation for many children. Of course, it cannot be generalised to all children and many do not like it, but perhaps your child or your pupils love to have that moment of silence and to share their work with their classmates and express their opinions.
