Experienced GCSE English Language & Literature tutor with high pass rates in both subjects

I have a joint honours degree in English and History and a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education [PGCE]. I worked in a further education college for 18 years with students of different ages, from 16 to 70, and of differing abilities. I have been tutoring for 9.5 years with a high pass rate. In the 2024 GCSE Language and Literature exams all of my 5 students passed. 1 student got 4s and the other 4 got grade 5s in both subjects. I initially assess students' needs and structure sessions to address their issues and use a variety of resources including past papers, workbooks, practice exercises and instructional videos to develop their understanding of their subject. I am personable and consider I am easy to work with. Where applicable, I keep parents informed of their child’s progress between sessions.
