In this role, I developed a broad set of skills essential for supporting learners with diverse needs. I became proficient in motivating and encouraging students through positive reinforcement, patience, and consistent emotional support, helping them build confidence and resilience in their learning. I also enhanced my ability to break down tasks, scaffold learning, and employ differentiated strategies to accommodate each student’s individual pace and preferred learning style. Additionally, I strengthened my communication skills by collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a coordinated approach. My experience also increased my understanding of behavior support, sensory needs, and the importance of creating a calm, predictable environment where students feel safe and are able to thrive.
