Offering primary school aged tutoring in a calm farm setting with a qualified teacher who has SEN resource base experience

Mayfly Tutoring provides personalised primary tuition for children of all abilities and scaffolds learning accordingly. I am a qualified Teacher with a degree in Primary Education from the University of Winchester. I have taught in a number of different primary schools in Wiltshire across a variety of age ranges. More recently before going on maternity leave I was a teacher in a SEN resource base. Mayfly Tutoring specialises in supporting children with additional needs, including those who thrive best outside of a traditional classroom setting. With my experience teaching in a specialist resource base, sessions are adapted according to each child’s pace and interests. Sessions focus on building a relationship with me as a teacher and confidence first, then skills are interwoven according to need. Tuition takes place in a quiet, farm setting, offering the unique opportunity to combine structured learning with hands-on, real-world experiences. Children may use animals and objects around the farm to explore maths concepts, outdoor spaces to support regulation and focus, and gentle animal interaction during breaks to promote calm and engagement including horses and sheep. All sessions are 1:1 or small group giving the opportunity to be fully tailored to the specific needs of the child and are designed to support, Literacy and numeracy, Confidence and self-esteem and Emotional regulation Mayfly Tutoring offers a nurturing, low-pressure alternative for families seeking high-quality SEN-informed tuition in a supportive environment.
