GCSE & A-Level English Tuition Tailored to Every Learner

My lessons are friendly, supportive and adapted to each student's needs and learning style. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, so I always create a relaxed environment where mistakes are seen as part of learning. I use a mix of discussion, activities, exam practice and clear explanations to keep lessons engaging rather than just working through worksheets. Whether you're preparing for GCSE or A-Level English, improving your essay writing, or building confidence with reading and writing, I'll tailor each lesson to your goals. I have experience teaching in schools, colleges and through private tutoring, working with students of different ages and abilities. I enjoy helping students not only improve their grades but also understand and enjoy English. For example, if we're studying Macbeth, we might explore a scene together, discuss Shakespeare's language in simple terms, and then practise writing a high-mark exam paragraph using the ideas we've developed. This helps build both confidence and exam skills.
