SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teacher

I teach students in a calm and reassuring way with a step-by-step approach according to their needs. For EFL, ESOL and EAZ learners, I have had 20+ years of experience, and for Functional Skills and GCSE levels, I have been teaching for 10+ years. My experience also includes online and face-to-face A Level English Language and Literature. Additionally, I am trained and confident working with students who have Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD and/or Dyspraxia; and equally, if they have a physical disability like tactile co-ordination, stammers or verbal difficulties. My qualifications include: QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning Status) and Additional Diploma in Teaching English in the Lifelong Learning Sector, as well as Level 2 Understanding Autism. My students enjoy my lessons because I often use: Kahoots, Youtube videos and Songs, which are relevant to the type and level of English they are studying. In addition, I regularly use colours, charts and mind-maps, which enable my learners to see links, understand, learn and remember. Lastly, a main benefit my learners have appreciated is that I speak with a standard English accent.
