English Tutor

Hello! I'm Georgie and I'm a 17 year old tutor who is pursuing English Literature at A-level, looking to help secondary students and GCSE students in their English GCSE's. Though I haven't had a great deal of teaching experience in the past, I can say that my way of teaching is to understand what works for my students. This includes customising the lesson for the benefit of the students, so that I am teaching in the way that works for them. For example if they are a visual learner, I would make sure to include visual explanations or diagrams for what they are covering. Or if they find it easier to learn through practice, I will set them exam questions that they can practice and I would be there to guide them. In our first lesson or prior to, I'd like to take a short amount of time getting to know the student and what works for them; I'd also like to know the content they need to cover and the exam board they are with so that I can create the lessons. This first lesson will be free of charge, just so the student can get a feel for it and see if it is something that will benefit them. In terms of availability, I am mostly doing school holidays and in half terms, to work around term times. I could possibly arrange for after school sessions, particularly, coming up to GCSE season.
