My teaching approach is centred on the individual needs of each learner. I begin by building a positive and trusting relationship, identifying the student's strengths, areas for development, interests, and any barriers to learning. Using this information, I plan and deliver personalised lessons that are adapted to the learner's ability, preferred learning style, and pace of progress. I break learning down into manageable steps, provide clear explanations and modelling, and use a variety of teaching strategies to maintain engagement. Throughout each session, I regularly check understanding through questioning, discussion, retrieval activities, and assessment tasks, addressing misconceptions as they arise. I provide constructive feedback that celebrates success while identifying next steps, helping learners to develop confidence and motivation. I continuously monitor progress and adapt my teaching accordingly, ensuring that learning remains appropriately challenging and accessible. My aim is not only to improve academic outcomes but also to develop independence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
