Advert description
The critical examination, discussion and enjoyment of English Literature from 1500 to the present day. There will be an emphasis on close reading and an examination of the cultural context of the works being studied. We shall also be discussing a weekly essay written by the student on a set topic. Above all, great poetry, drama and prose should be enjoyed. The better the understandig, the greater the enjoyment.
