English tutor providing lessons for students aged from Reception to Year 6

I work as an English Tutor, teaching pupils from KS1 to KS2 and supporting them with their academic development and confidence in English. I deliver one-to-one and small group sessions, adapting my teaching approach to suit each pupil’s individual abilities, needs and learning style. My role involves helping pupils develop their reading, writing, spelling, grammar, comprehension and vocabulary, as well as supporting GCSE students with English Language and Literature. I plan engaging lessons, explain topics clearly and provide constructive feedback to help pupils understand and improve their work. Through this role, I have developed strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills. I have gained experience building positive relationships with pupils, managing different abilities within a learning environment and encouraging students to become more confident and independent learners. I also communicate professionally with colleagues and parents regarding pupils’ progress and learning needs.
