Experienced graduate Psychology and English language/ literature tutor, teaching all ages in the UK
Advert description
I am an experienced Psychology and English tutor who supports learners of all ages, from primary school to GCSE, A level and adult study. My approach is calm, structured and confidence‑building, and I tailor every session to the individual so that each student feels understood, supported and capable.
I have a strong educational background, having completed a degree in Psychology and Criminology, which gives me a clear understanding of how students learn, process information and overcome challenges. I also come from an educational household, with a parent who is a qualified teacher, so I grew up surrounded by effective teaching methods, academic support and a deep respect for learning. This has shaped the way I communicate, plan lessons and support students with patience and clarity.
I bring hands‑on experience from supervising a tutoring company, where I oversaw tutors, supported families and ensured high quality teaching. This role strengthened my ability to reassure parents, track progress effectively and create learning environments where students feel safe to ask questions and grow at their own pace. It also taught me how to adapt lessons for different learning styles and academic needs.
I have extensive experience working with students who have SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety and processing difficulties. I understand the importance of structure, gentle encouragement and breaking tasks into manageable steps. My psychology background allows me to support students who struggle with confidence, focus or exam stress, helping them build resilience and positive study habits.
For English Literature and Language, I help students develop strong analytical skills, clear writing, exam technique and a deeper understanding of texts. For Psychology, I support students with theory, research methods, essay writing and exam preparation, helping them connect concepts in a way that feels manageable and engaging.
My goal is to help every student feel capable, motivated and proud of their progress. I work closely with both students and parents to ensure sessions are effective, enjoyable and tailored to individual goals. If you are looking for a tutor who is patient, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in your child’s growth, I would be happy to support you.
