Experienced KS2 tutor specialising in maths and SEN

Meg is a very experienced primary educator and was a fantastic maths tutor for my daughter. During the time she worked with Meg, we saw a real improvement in her confidence and resilience in maths. We particularly noticed the difference at school, where she became much more willing to contribute in class and answer questions, which was lovely to see. Meg is incredibly patient, friendly and approachable, and my daughter always enjoyed her sessions with her. She created a really positive and encouraging environment that helped build her confidence in her own ability. We had a very positive experience with Meg and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, supportive and caring maths tutor for their child.

We approached Megan after our then 8 year old daughter fell a little behind in her Maths. Megan was happy to tailor her tutoring around our areas of concern. Megan was an instant hit, with our daughter looking forward to her weekly visits. Our daughter says that ‘Megan makes maths fun.’ This new found enjoyment for maths has been noticed by several teachers and her improved confidence and ability was reflected in her latest school report. Megan has been accommodating when there has been an unexpected illness or clash. Megan clearly enjoys her tutoring, and approaches it with enthusiasm. She is calm, kind and incredibly patient with our daughter. I would absolutely recommend Megan to anyone who is considering tutoring for their child.

I couldn’t recommend Megan highly enough. Ivy has been having tutoring for the past 18 months, and the difference in both her maths ability and confidence has been incredible. Megan has been particularly brilliant at helping Ivy with maths, breaking things down in a way that makes sense to her and helping her build confidence in areas she previously found challenging. As she approached her 11+, the support and encouragement she received was invaluable and really helped her feel much more prepared. It’s been lovely to see how much Ivy has grown over the last 18 months, not just academically but in her self-belief too. Megan has always been patient, encouraging and supportive, while still pushing Ivy to achieve her best. My daughter took a dip in confidence with school work so we looked to find a tutor to help her with some maths work and bring her up to level. A friend recommended Megan and my daughter loved going for her sessions. Megan was very flexible, approachable and calming.

We were incredibly lucky to have Meg tutor both our children. She supported them through preparation for 11+, SAT’s and the step up from Primary to Secondary education.
