GCSE, A Level and Music Theory Tuition online or in person (Sheffield)

Advert description

Hi, I’m Claire, a qualified Music teacher with over 20 years’ experience and a Music degree from the University of Sheffield. I offer friendly, supportive online tuition in GCSE and A Level Music, as well as Music Theory from beginner to advanced level. Lessons are tailored to each student and can cover theory, harmony, listening, musical analysis, composition, notation, set works and exam preparation. I explain difficult concepts clearly and adapt my approach to suit different learning styles and abilities. I can help students fill gaps in their knowledge, prepare for exams, improve their compositions or simply become more confident musicians. I am currently studying towards ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory and also develop my skills through arranging and score writing using Sibelius. My lessons are relaxed and encouraging, while always having a clear focus on helping each student make progress and achieve their individual goals.

Gill Goodrich

Claire is wonderfully patient and helped me to better understand all the notations on my choir music scores so I now have a much better understanding of the times signatures, note lengths and, in particular, where to go to when I reach the D.C al Coda / D.S. al Coda signs which were always a complete mystery to me! Thanks Claire!

Claire Wiener responds:

Thank you for your kind words Gill. If you need anything else clarifying, just give me a shout.
