English Language and Literature teacher IBDP / A-Level / IGCSE / GCSE / IELTS

Currently online tutor for IBDP English Language and Literature / ToK, IGCSE/ GCSE English, IELTS. Up until August 2022, I was Theory of Knowledge Coordinator and IBDP / IGCSE Language and Literature teacher at Riverside School Prague. Previous to this, at Durham University as Head of English at the ISC dealing with pre-masters and foundation level international students. Through working for five international schools, I understand the educational expectations of a wide range of cultures and nationalities. Over the last four years I have gained insight into the process of international students integrating into a British university which has proved useful in preparing Year 13 applicants for the start of their journey. Fifteen years Asia experience working in Beijing, Hong Kong, Thailand and Australia, IBDP Language and Literature and Theory of Knowledge as well as A-Level, MYP, IGCSE and KS3 English has been extremely fulfilling. I have been instrumental in creating, coordinating and delivering units for KS3, 4 and IBDP. Also taught in Germany, Italy, Australia and the UK. I believe students learn well when they are having fun, are engaged and understand the real life applications of the course content.
