I am currently studying an integrated Masters degree at the University of Reading. My lessons are aimed at secondary students.
Advert description
I have a strong academic background, achieving A*s in A-level Psychology and Sociology, with an A in English Language. I have experience in tutoring various year groups across secondary school, adapting teaching approaches based on student needs and encouraging them to develop their own understandings of the subject.
I aim to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere, allowing tutees to engage with their learning. I will tailor sessions according my tutees' goals; guiding mentees towards fully grasping the curriculum. I believe that confidence is the greatest factor in learning, especially for young people - this is something I have personally struggled with, so ultimately I want to facilitate my tutee's journey towards believing in themselves and their skills. My teaching style is interactive, adaptable, and focused on making complex concepts clear and relatable, enabling tutees to synthesise their subject knowledge together. I bring an enthusiastic approach, drawing on my own recent experiences to offer relevant study techniques and insights.
