English tutor for students at KS3, and KS4 level

Hi I have a masters degree in English. My major was applied linguistics and my dissertation was about American author Edgar Allan Poe. I have 11+ years of teaching experience at university level (undergraduate) I have taught subjects like basic English grammar and syntax, creative writing, communication skills, academic and journalistic writing, drama, poetry, novel, short stories, Victorian studies and cognitive linguistics. My teaching philosophy is show not tell, which means I try to explain the content in a way that appeals to common sense rather than bookish profundity. I split my teaching time between explaining and listening. This way, I engage students in the learning process. I get bored easily therefore my teaching style is based on creating interesting ways to create a teaching environment.
