My lessons are carefully tailored to meet each student’s individual needs, ensuring they feel supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed. As an experienced English and Maths tutor specialising in Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3 and 11+ preparation, I create engaging and structured sessions that build confidence while developing core skills. I use a wide range of resources, including interactive activities, exam-style questions, and creative tasks, to keep lessons enjoyable and purposeful. With extensive experience supporting students with SEN needs, I adapt my teaching approach to suit different learning styles, ensuring every child can access and succeed in their learning. For example, I am currently supporting a Year 5 student in preparing for the 11+, focusing on reasoning skills, comprehension, and exam technique to build both confidence and performance. I am also working with a Year 2 student to help them progress towards a good level of development, using phonics-based activities, practical maths resources, and confidence-building strategies. With a patient, adaptive and student-focused approach, I provide clear explanations, step-by-step support, and the right level of challenge to help every student make strong, measurable progress in a positive and encouraging learning environment.
