As a Graphic Design "lifer" with over 15 years of experience, I will teach you the fundamentals of the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as wider design theory, using a combination of demonstrations and exercises. You will learn how to use different software tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, to create and edit various types of graphics, such as logos, icons, illustrations, layouts, and more. You will also learn how to apply the principles and elements of design, such as colour theory, typography techniques, branding, and print setup, to enhance your work and communicate your message effectively. Once we have established your skill level, and what you wish to achieve with the lessons, my teaching method is based on the following steps: 1) I will introduce the topic and explain the key concepts and terms. 2) I will show you examples of good and bad design practices related to the topic. 3) I will demonstrate how to use the Adobe Creative Suite tools to achieve the desired results. 4) I will assign you a project or a challenge related to the topic and guide you through the process. 5) I will review your work and provide you with constructive feedback and tips for improvement. By following this method, you will be able to learn the fundamentals of the Adobe Creative Suite and design theory in a practical and engaging way. You will also be able to develop your own style and portfolio of graphic design projects.
