English Tutor - Proving lessons for all ages and abilities!

Hello! My name is Katherine and I have been an English teacher for the past eight years in a Secondary School. I am very passionate about English, and believe that any student of any age or ability should find learning enjoyable and fun. I have experience working with KS2 students preparing for their SATs exams; KS3 students from the transition to Secondary Education and in the lead up to starting their GCSE courses; as well as with KS4 students for both GCSE English Literature and Language exams. I am also a specialist at A Level English Language. I have worked with a range of abilities, with excellent results. I have supported groups of students with Special Educational Needs, giving them the confidence with 1:1 learning to feel challenged and aspire for great progress. I am trained in phonics as well as Literacy Intervention to support with reading and writing progress. I have also worked with students striving for the top grades, introducing them to a range of different writing styles, exam techniques and the cultural capital that they need to consider when providing a top answer. I offer Online Tutoring to support students, with a range of materials provided to them. I encourage students to receive feedback on their writing to support them with improvements. I am also able to provide pre-recorded revision videos (for an additional fee) to support students with their independent revision outside of tutoring and in the lead up to their exams or personal learning time. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me!
