Multilingual Native Japanese Tutor | University of Warwick Master’s Student | GCSE & A-Level Specialist | Tailored Online Lessons

I have around three years of experience teaching foreign languages to secondary school students. During this time, I have learned how to explain grammar clearly, adapt lessons to different learning styles, and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. In addition to being a native Japanese speaker, I have studied English, Chinese, French, Russian, Latin, and Ancient Greek. Learning both modern and classical languages has given me a deep understanding of grammar, pronunciation, and language acquisition from a learner’s perspective. I have also studied phonetics, enabling me to provide detailed guidance on Japanese pronunciation and intonation. At the start of our lessons, we’ll discuss your current level, goals, interests, and preferred way of learning. I will then tailor every lesson to suit your individual needs. Whether you want to improve your conversational Japanese, strengthen your grammar, develop your reading and writing skills, or prepare for an exam, we’ll work towards your goals at a pace that suits you. For students preparing for the JLPT or A-Level Japanese, I offer structured and goal-oriented lessons with targeted grammar practice, reading exercises, revision plans, and personalised feedback. If you’re learning Japanese for travel, work, or simply for fun, I can also provide relaxed, engaging lessons that make learning enjoyable while steadily building your confidence. My goal is not simply to teach Japanese, but to help you broaden your horizons by developing the confidence to communicate naturally and independently in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. My course will take place online.
