English language and literature tutor for GCSE and IB level

I’m Jasmine, an experienced and patient tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students excel in English Language and Literature. I achieved a grade 7 in both English Language and English Literature at GCSE level, and a 6 in Higher Level English during the International Baccalaureate Diploma at Dartford Grammar School. These achievements reflect my consistent strength in analytical writing, interpretation, and clear communication. My lessons are fully tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. I focus on developing essay structure, critical thinking, and close-reading skills, while helping students gain confidence in expressing their ideas effectively. By linking texts and themes to topics that interest my students, I make lessons engaging and personally relevant. Alongside my English background, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Manchester, which helps me understand how students learn best and adapt my teaching style accordingly. Whether you’re preparing for exams, improving essay technique, or aiming to deepen your appreciation of literature, I’ll help you achieve your full potential with confidence and clarity.
