Experienced Maths Tutor | 5 Years' Experience | Building Confidence & Improving Grades

Hi, I'm Anna! I'm a Mathematics and Actuarial Science graduate with 5 years of tutoring experience and have supported over 20 students across Maths and the sciences. I specialise in helping GCSE Maths students who are struggling with particular topics, lacking confidence or working towards improving their grades. I break difficult concepts down into manageable steps and tailor each lesson to the individual student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I've previously been ranked among the top 5 out of 40 tutors at A-Team Academy for student impact, development, professionalism and progress. I've supported GCSE students who went on to achieve Grades 7–8 in subjects I taught, and have also supported an A-Level Further Maths student who achieved an A in Further Maths. During lessons, we'll identify weaker topics and work through them gradually before bringing everything together through exam-style questions and past papers. I also set homework where appropriate so students can practise independently between lessons. Alongside GCSE Maths, I offer tuition in Primary and KS3 Maths, 11+, A-Level Maths and Further Maths, Chemistry up to A-Level, and GCSE Physics. I have experience teaching both 1-to-1 and group lessons, as well as experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
