Psychology Exam Techniques A-level and GCSE Tutor from a Psychology University Graduate

Hi! I’m Gurveen. I hold a BSc in Psychology (Hons), earning a 2:1 in my degree, and I recently graduated in 2025. I'm confident in my abilities to help students feel motivated and fully prepared for their exams. As your tutor, I cover any topics that require further clarification with step-by-step breakdowns and utilise evidence-based study methods such as active recall, goal setting, mind mapping, and spaced repetition through exam-style practice. These techniques will enhance confidence and the ability to effectively retain, recall and apply knowledge during examinations. During sessions, we will review and study mark schemes, past papers and model answers to guarantee your understanding of the exam specifications and how to secure higher marks. Having recently completed my own academic journey, I understand the pressures students face today, whether it’s mastering challenging topics, improving essay structure, or overcoming exam anxiety. Outside of tutoring, I provide support as a research assistant and coordinator at a neuropsychology lab at Kingston University London, with experience working with neurotypical and neurodivergent children, including those with ASD and ADHD. As I have studied Psychology at University and A-level, I bring strong subject knowledge, practical exam insight, and the correct tools for learning, studying, and achieving high grades in Psychology GCSE and A-level/BTEC. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and capable of reaching their full potential. I look forward to helping you thrive in Psychology!
