I have a strong grasp of biology concepts and the ability to break down complex ideas into understandable components. My patient and adaptive teaching style allows me to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles. I specialize in areas like cell biology, genetics, evolutionary biology, and plant and animal physiology. My strengths as a tutor lie in my ability to identify student knowledge gaps and misconceptions. I use targeted questioning and feedback to reinforce fundamental concepts and clear up any confusion. My deep content knowledge coupled with strong interpersonal skills makes biology accessible and engaging for my students. I also provide study and test-taking strategies to set students up for ongoing academic success. My goal is to not only support short-term learning objectives but to nurture my students’ innate curiosity and appreciation for the living world.
