Speech and Language Therapist offering tutoring in conversational and written English for second language English speakers

I am a qualified Speech and Language Therapist who specialises in assisting second language English speakers to improve their written and spoken English. I used to work for the NHS and now I am in private practice. The focus of my sessions with my clients is on conversational English through moderating the effects of the mother tongue to reduce accent and increase intelligibility. I utilise my background in linguistics and phonology to facilitate improved pronunciation of the phonemes of English. I have developed an e-learning program and in addition support students with individual coaching as utilising a blended approach optimises learning and retention. The program targets auditory processing and production of all the vowel and consonant phonemes of English. In addition we look at vocabulary development, correct use of syntax and grammar and pronunciation of multi-syllabic words with the end goal being improved spontaneous conversational speech in English.
