Spanish Tutor with 20 years of experience, professional teacher training and DBS

My girls are 4 (twins) and 6, we had fun in the lessons. We mainly did colours and numbers. A few animals. All good for their age. Xavi was kind and patient with them, too

Xavi is very friendly and has a lovely way of teaching. Automatically you dont feel under pressure and you are never scared to say i dont understand. She has tailored her teaching to the way i learn best which is also amazing. I take 1 spanish class a week with Xavi but after summer will start to do it twice a week.

Xavi is a wonderful teacher, my 4 and 2 year old absolutely love their time learning Spanish with her. Her classes are a mixture of music, storytelling and learning through play. I couldnt recommend Xavi enough!

We first met Xavi when she was booked to help my son with his GCSE Spanish during a press event and we were very impressed. My son really liked her teaching methods and calm, yet engaging personality. Therefore, when we my wanted a bit of a booster in the summer holidays before starting his final year of ALevels, I contacted Xavi again. The sessions were extremely helpful- Xavi also sends worksheets to do at home- and my son returned to school much more confident in his Spanish. I definitely recommend!

Xaviera adapted the classes to both my level and motivations in studying Spanish. She made the lessons fun and engaging every time. I improved my Spanish rapidly with her.

We used Xaviera for my son and daughter through their GCSE's. I also joined in and had my own regular tutorials. We had been through a lot of tutors by that stage and Xaviera has been the best by far. She's very clever and takes care to pitch her teaching to whatever level is needed from basic grammar to Spanish poetry and literature. She had a wonderful rapport with the kids. She is a natural teacher. I couldn't recommend her highly enough!

Xavi was a brilliant Spanish teacher, very friendly and encouraging. She always found interesting articles, poems etc for us to read and discuss in the classes. I’d highly recommend her whatever your level of Spanish!

I loved the poetry and writing materials Xavi bought into her lessons and the interesting conversations never made it feel too much like studying. I really felt the benefit of her experience and knowledge from her years teaching Spanish. She has an ease with grammatical knowledge and brings a lot of creativity and flexibility when building a lesson

Xavi tutored me for around a year and I absolutely adored my time with her. I came to Xavi having done about 9 months of Duolingo, and was looking to take my language to the next level. She cared deeply about tailoring our sessions to my goals, and massively helped me formalise my grammar, expand my vocabulary, and practise my listening, which had all been really weak. Easily my favourite part of working with Xavi was how she anchored our learning in things we were both passionate about. It didn't take long to find out we were both huge literature fans, and she quickly had me translating Spanish poetry and reading short stories. Working with Xavi was the first time I felt like I began to hear the music of Spanish, a gift I hope to enjoy for the rest of my life. For that, I cannot thank her enough. Our tutorials came to an end when work got a bit hectic, but I can't express how useful and enjoyable that year with Xavi was improving my Spanish. I very much hope it is for you to

Xaviera in an excellent teacher. I had been bumbling around at the same level in Spanish for several years and within a few lessons I had gotten the hang of many things that I had been too scared to try before! Her calm and friendly manner is conducive to effective learning at all ages!

I studied with Xaviera for around 12 months and consistently found her classes to be progressive, engaging, and highly informative.

I started one-on-one classes with Xaviera after a long period of not using my Spanish at all. She helped me regain confidence and expand my vocabulary through a mixture of conversation, reading aloud, and written homework. The classes were fun and very well prepared. I'm now able to hold a conversation with ease.

Xaviera is an excellent teacher! She makes you feel comfortable and helps you go at your own pace but also make good progress, she is very easy to talk to and makes learning Spanish fun!

Xaviera is an excellent teacher who I've been having lessons with for the past few months. She is very friendly and adaptable to my individual needs as a learner. The level of each class is challenging but not overwhelming and the things I struggle with are broken down into obtainable steps, and explained very clearly. Many learners (myself included) feel shy speaking a language they are learning but Xaviera has always gone out of her way to make me feel very comfortable, and honestly, speaking Spanish with her is really fun. The lessons have vastly improved my confidence in speaking and I can see the improvement in my understanding of the language. She is fantastic at tailoring the lessons to my interests, for example if I'm reading a fiction book in Spanish, she will research it so we can discuss it in the lesson. This makes the lessons very enjoyable and a part of my week I really look forward too. I would recommend Xaviera as a teacher to anyone who wants to learn Spanish.

Xavi is an excellent teacher, she made learning Spanish very enjoyable and I looked forward to our sessions. She is very organised and the learning materials felt perfectly suited to my level and my interests. I highly recommend!

Xavi is amazing and was a pleasure to work with. I will be picking up lessons with her again soon... Highly recommended!
