Online Spanish Conversation Classes

Cristina is very friendly and approachable. The lessons can be tailored to your needs, such as conversation, checking writing work, or checking grammar work. She has a lot of resources on hand to help you learn and reinforce knowledge outside her classes as well, such as worksheets. I appreciate how she sends through corrections via email at the end of each class, which allows me to speak without worrying about noting down my corrections as I'm talking. I recommend Cristina if you are looking for a conversation partner who can also help with other needs such as grammar.

Hace tres semanas que hago clases con Cristina y estoy muy contenta. Era muy específica con lo que quería: conversar, ampliar mi vocabulario, practicar la expresión escrita y recebir corecciones. Cristina ha sido muy flexible para satisfacer mis pedidos. ¡100% recomendada!

Cristina is great! She knows how the Spanish language works and how to explain things, and has a fair knowledge of English (for beginners). Make sure you tell her what you require and she will craft classes that suit your needs. ¡Maravilloso!

Cristina is a great teacher, she listens to your needs and helps you progress. she lets you speak to the maximum and then corrects your mistakes with kindness. She gives a lot of internet links and her own lessons to improve herself. Vincent Walbrecq (Belgium).

Spanish speaking classes with Cristina helped me to bring my spoken Spanish to a completely different level. Cristina encourages and supports one to open up for a conversation irrespective of the level of the student. She is very calm and takes time to consistently explain the errors made as well as grammar, which are written down during the lesson and after it is over sent to you per email. She also supports one with additional materials for improving grammar and vocabulary in between the speaking lessons. I can totally recommend Cristina's lessons and think it will be of great value for everyone from very beginners to more advanced levels!

I can highly recommend the Spanish classes with Cristina, without any reservations. I already learnt a lot with her in only three or four classes we had. She will correct you, listens carefully and makes you speak and gives space for this - Really very good! Michael

Very good deal to practice Spanish and improve conversation skills.

Christina makes the lessons very interesting and personalized to the students requirements. The lessons are interactive and straight forward. There is a focus on conversation and students can bring up there own subjects. She is very encouraging.

I am really enjoying my classes with Cristina. I feel comfortable and have already noticed my confidence in Spanish grow both inside and outside of the class. My foundation of the Spanish language is from Central and South America. I enjoy that she is teaching me Spanish from the Motherland, Spain. I appreciate that she understands where my foundation is coming from and at the same time teaching me Spanish that is spoken in Spain and encouraging me to practice with this! I also have a love for Spanish grammar and I’m very appreciative that she allows me to ask grammar questions. She does a great job answering my questions in a way that helps me better understand the language which in return fosters my growth when conversing. I love that she pushes for conversation and helps me with the correct pronunciation along the way. Our topics of conversation are always very interesting and I have a lot of fun with them. Overall, I’ve truly enjoyed her classes and would highly recommend them!

Me gusta mucho las clases de Cristina

I have been learning Spanish for a year but have never really had the opportunity to practice speaking it until I started Cristina’s class recently. She is very patient, encouraging and helps me with verb tenses, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. I am learning a lot and feeling challenged in every class. My confidence is also increasing and I am getting more confident speaking Spanish. I would recommend these classes.

Cristina is a great teacher , she is extremely organised and quickly assesses the key areas of learning to develop. I think her lessons are very good value and I am hoping to continue to learn with her on a regular basis . I would recommend her classes to anyone wanting to develop their Spanish .

I am doing conversation classes with Cristina so we meet once a week to chat. We don't do grammar exercises, but simply let the conversation flow. She corrects me as we go and helps with vocabulary. She is easy to talk to. I do believe my Spanish is slowly but surely coming back so that's exciting. Meeting her via Zoom is super convenient and works much better with my lifestyle than going to a language school. I meet her during my lunch hour.

Cristina does an excellent job of tailoring her program to the needs of each student. My goal in working with her is to increase my vocabulary and improve my speaking. Cristina is patient while I struggle through my speaking, but at the same time she corrects my Spanish by presenting me with a visual record of the words and expressions I need to learn or remember, so I can practice these during the week. So far I have been improving and will continue to work with her.

Cristina is a great teacher. She is very patient, and creates a very relaxing atmosphere for her students. She has helped me to improve a tremendous amount already and I look forward to making more progress in the future!

Cristina es una maestra dedicada y talentosa. La contraté para mejorar mi español hablado y ya he notado una diferencia después de menos de un mes. Es directa y requiero que hablo bien y con el acento castellano, una cosa que respeto mucho como un socio profesor. Ansío continuar con ella y seguir elevando mi nivel.

I have just started doing Spanish conversation with Cristina and am enjoying my weekly sessions.

My Professor Cristina is wonderful and patient with my learning experience. I truly admire Cristina for her vast knowledge of Spanish and how she teaches the class according to your level. Muchos Gracias.

Cristina is a great teacher very patient, listens attentively and knows how to stretch you without you feeling stupid or that you can’t do it In the short time I have been working with her I already feel more confident in speaking Spanish and I am thoroughly enjoying my lessons Cristina is very good at picking up on what you enjoy doing or what is important to you and creating work/ lessons around those topics I would wholeheartedly recommend Cristina particularly if you are a complete novice like me. I have recently decided to discontinue my Spanish Intermedio course in London. By chance I found Cristina Álvarez on Meet-ups. We have had five conversations so far on Zoom. I am pleased to recommend a Cristina as her lessons are fun, and of course 1-2-1 makes learning so much easier. I do not want to waste all the time I have spent so far, learning Spanish. I manage to read short stories with her, enabling her to correct my pronunciation and I can send her emails in Spanish , so that she can see and correct my written Spanish.

I have found my hour classes with Christine to be very good and find them vital in increasing my confidence to speak Spanish. The audio link is excellent and the grammar literature is good for revision. I would recommend her classes to anybody.

Estudio español con Cristina en el 'Spanish Online Club' desde junio de 2020. Disfruto el español con Cristina, que es solidaria, paciente y entusiasta. Cristina proporciona materiales de lecciones adicionales a través de Dropbox y una actualización de vocabulario después de cada lección de Zoom. El precio de la lección de Cristina es muy justo para el aprendizaje en línea. Prueba Cristina y aprende un idioma en la comodidad de tu hogar. Simon Manchester UK

I am learning Spanish as a hobby and I always look forward to my lessons with Cristina. I was unsure about taking lessons online, but with Covid, I had no choice. I am delighted that Cristina is able to use the online platform effectively. Obviously Cristina knows Spanish and English, but also how to teach Spanish and what it is like for non-native learners. I am glad to have Cristina as my Spanish teacher and look forward to more lessons.

I feel I leave each class with a more in depth knowledge of the Spanish language and culture. She always listens to my requests and tailors the classes based on my needs. Cristina is a very conscientious tutor, who works with you to understand your level of proficiency with Spanish and provides lessons tailored to your needs. After a month of lessons, I've learned a lot and it's been really beneficial to speak with Cristina, something you cannot get just from a book!

I have recently commenced Spanish classes with Cristina. She is extremely patient and organised with a very encouraging and empowering teaching style; this has given me immense confidence when speaking Spanish. In the short time I have been tutored by her, I have noted a significant improvement in my speaking and comprehension of Spanish. I look forward to further lessons and improved fluency.

Cristina es una gran professora. Sus lecciones son fáciles de entender, bien organizadas y enfocadas en los temas. Las correcciones suceden bien a pesar del entorno (skype audio) y las restricciones. El aprendizaje remoto funciona, pero, preferiría en persona. En general, lo recomiendo y sigo con ella.

I think she takes the correct approach of a certain level, at least in my case. She mixes different types of exercises in each lesson( for ex, reading of a text with grammar exercise), which makes the lesson exciting and less likely to become a routine. Keep it going Christina!

Cristina’s one to one lessons are well prepared and tailored to my own learning level and needs, while her friendly, encouraging character keeps me motivated to learn. Would definitely recommend.

I've started taking lessons from Cristina only recently, but I would definitely recommend her. I enjoyed my first class with her very much. I came to it unsure about my level of Spanish, but throughout the hour she could assess my level and spot things I should work on to improve it. She managed to make me feel comfortable speaking the little Spanish I could master and create a nice, stimulating learning environment.

Cristina, thank you so much for sharing your passion with us. Finding you helped me re-discover my passion for Spanish and gave me the nudge I needed to improve. Thank you for your hard work in adapting your classes and creating great content for all your students. I had my second class yesterday and I already feel my Spanish improved a lot. Cannot wait to learn grammar properly and discover more about the Spanish culture. Guys, if you want a fun yet effective way of learning or perfecting your Spanish, I totally recommend you getting in touch with Cristina. Cristina, muchisimas grasias

Cristina trabaja muy bien con los niños manteniendo su atención y esfuerzo durante la hora completa.

Explica conceptos excelentemente y dedica su tiempo a que el alumno comprenda el temario al 100%.

So happy I found Cristina! If you are looking to better your written and conversational Spanish, I would recommend her 100%. She prepares her lessons thoughtfully which always makes our sessions very productive! She is very professional and comfortable to work with (which means a lot if you're shy and don't have a lot of confidence in speaking). I highly recommend her and I know you will not regret your decision!

Very relaxing lesson. Worked at my indivudual level Lots of opportunities to practice speaking Spanish Mispronounciations identified, corrected and opportunity within lesson to practice. Cristina speaks excellent English so is able to communicate effectively Would highly recommend.

Cristina is professional and good at correcting mistakes.
