Psychology, Psychotherapy, Neurodevelopment, Neuroscience

My lessons are structured yet flexible, always tailored to the individual needs and goals of the student. Whether you're preparing for exams, working through degree-level content, or simply seeking to deepen your understanding of psychology or neuroscience, I adapt the format to suit your learning style. I typically begin with a clear outline of the session’s objectives, followed by a combination of interactive discussion, guided explanation, and practical examples drawn from both clinical experience and current research. I place a strong emphasis on helping students understand not just what a theory says, but why it matters and how it applies in real-world contexts — whether in mental health, education, or day-to-day life. Depending on the level, we might explore topics such as: Cognitive development and learning The neuroscience of emotion and behaviour Mental health conditions and therapeutic approaches The intersection of brain science and psychological theory Case studies and ethical dilemmas in applied settings I bring over two decades of experience as a psychotherapist and mental health professional, both in the UK and Portugal, alongside academic study in applied neuroscience, child development, and psychotherapy. This allows me to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical understanding, making complex ideas accessible and relevant. My lessons are student-centred, collaborative, and designed to help you build confidence, critical thinking, and lasting knowledge.
