Multidisciplinary tutor for all University Levels

I’m incredibly grateful to Dr Marilia for her invaluable guidance as a private tutor while I was working on my postgraduate thesis. Her insightful feedback, thoughtful questions, and recommended readings helped me refine my ideas and shape my thesis theme. She created a supportive environment that allowed me to explore my interests, and her mentorship was instrumental in setting the foundation for my work.

The quality of tutoring I received within my dissertation unit was second to none. Marilia sparked my interest for reading challenging texts which we would frequently discuss during private tutorials. She would display her encyclopaedic level of knowledge on published works, and constantly make recommendations to strengthen my case both in and outside the designated learning time. I wouldn't have been able to construct a piece of writing that achieved a 90% mark if it wasn't for her.

I had the chance to have Marilia as my tutor from 2016 to 2019, as well as my dissertation supervisor in my BA (Hons) Fashion at the University for the Creative Arts, Epsom. She is a great teacher who cares about students' personal success and knows how to motivate them. She is the teacher who sparked my curiosity about a diverse range of topics in academic research and pushed me out of my comfort zone to achieve more than I could have ever imagined. She is one of those teachers you always feel grateful to have had as part of your education. I will always be thankful for her knowledge, empathy, and enthusiasm while teaching.

Dr Marilia is an inspiring tutor who really helps you to positively challenge how you think about and understand different topics. I always felt safe and supported with Dr Marilia, which helped me to explore topics more thoroughly. She has been a key part of my time in education.

I had a pleasure of being Dr Marilia's student for three years during my Bachelor's degree. Without any hesitation, I must say that her methods of delivering information and sharing her extensive knowledge on many different topics, beyond the programme as well, have been very helpful within my practice, kept me curious and inspired. She has always been very encouraging and enthusiastic about my ideas, while still giving a constructive, perfectly tailored feedback, so I could keep pushing myself and stay challenged. Without a doubt, a passionate tutor with a lot of patience and dedication to their job and students. I'm so grateful we crossed paths!

Dr Marilia is a fantastic tutor who helped me get my paper published. I would definitely recommend Marilia!

With Marilia's incredible help, I managed to finish and publish my very first journal article! She has rich knowledge in semiotics and fashion contextual study and gives me meticulous help from drafting the ideas to extra book resources to deepen my argument. It was difficult and clueless for a postgraduate from a practice-based course to start independent academic research but with Marilia's guidance and timely editing feedback, I am able to start my research journey. Marilia is also very experienced in academic writing and gives great advice on dealing with difficult revision feedback! ;)
