Maths, Additional Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry tuition classes for IGCSE/A Level/ESAT

Im Yong Zhi, a 2nd-year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at Imperial College London, with a strong academic background in mathematics and physical sciences. I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, including a Top In The World award for Mathematics, and I was awarded the Dean’s List in my first year at Imperial (top 5% of the cohort). I have over a year of online tutoring experience, specialising in GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics, as well as admissions-focused preparation for highly competitive exams such as ESAT and Oxbridge/Imperial entrance pathways. My approach focuses on building deep conceptual understanding alongside strong exam technique. I prioritise helping students become confident problem-solvers rather than relying on memorisation, and I tailor each session to the student’s specific weaknesses and exam goals. For exam preparation, I emphasise: Breaking down difficult topics into clear, structured steps Developing efficient problem-solving strategies under time pressure Targeted practice using past-paper style questions Improving accuracy, speed, and exam confidence Whether the goal is securing top GCSE/A-Level grades or preparing for competitive university admissions, I aim to provide structured, high-impact support that is focused on measurable improvement.
