Elite RS & Philosophy Tutor | Head of Religious Studies Department | Subject examiner | Educational Psychologist | GCSE, A-level and 13+ Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy and Ethics

Karl has helped my son enormously in his RE education. He has gone from a 4/5 in his mocks to a 9 at GCSE. His way of teaching was very patient and his feedback extremely detailed which helped my son learn from his mistakes. I cannot stress how much I would recommend karl.

Karl is absolutely fantastic. All three of my sons have studied with and loved Karl. He swiftly became the benchmark for excellent tutors in our household. My eldest saw Karl when he started struggling with RS. He went from scoring 2+ in mocks to achieving an 8 on the exam - within the space of four months. My twins saw Karl this past year as well, when it came time for their RS exam. Although we haven't had the results back yet, I'm confident that it will be as impressive. Karl is incredibly effective at connecting with students and encouraging them, while vastly improving their skills. I was a touch concerned about how effective online tutoring would be but it was great. Would recommend without any hesitation whatsoever.

A truly exceptional tutor. Karl has provided both my daughters with outstanding tuition and support during their RS A levels. What sets Karl apart is his ability to tailor his approach to the individual needs of each child. His active and engaging revision style, combined with his talent for breaking down complex ideas, has built both knowledge and confidence in our daughters in equal measure. He is also very proactive, providing additional resources between sessions to keep momentum going. We cannot recommend him highly enough!

Karl has been tutoring my daughter in A level Religious Studies since September 2025 and I recommend him unreservedly. He is very well organised and clear when making arrangements for tutor sessions. He quickly built a positive relationship with my daughter and enhanced her confidence and trust in his teaching. He was able to identify her weaknesses and addressed them sympathetically and with interesting teaching methodology which she found very helpful. She is always smiling at the end of a tutor session and says she has enjoyed her lesson and never finds her learning boring. He has planned revision topics and revisited past modules systematically so that she approaches the coming A level examinations with confidence. Karl has been exceptional in all his work with her.

I have known Karl for the past 4 years in his capacity as tutor to my two children. Karl is without a doubt an exceptional teacher and role model to both my children. He treats them both as individuals and tailors his teaching methods according to their individual needs. Due to his approach, they both love the subject. I would recommend him as a tutor without hesitation.

Karl is the best teacher! He helped my daughter with her GCSEs, and after only five lessons she made amazing progress and achieved a high Grade 9. Thank you so much for your support and dedication. We highly recommend him!
