I have a doctorate in creative writing and I'm a professional writer and author. I offer lessons in fiction and non-fiction writing and English, tailored to college students and individuals working on PhDs

Luke is amazing. He’s been really helpful and supportive. It’s been nice having someone who can guide you and make sense of the overwhelming amount of information that surrounds one’s path nowadays.

Working with Luke is a joy. His notes, ideas and insights never fail to spark my creativity and supercharge my writing. There is no doubt that working with Luke has made me a better and more productive writer. Miguel Perez

Luke Deckard is an expert on the crime genre and his contributions to my private eye novel Ask for Mercy were invaluable. His notes were all thoughtful, fair and borne out of his own experience as writer. I’ll definitely consult with him again on my next book

Absolutely brilliant! I highly recommend Luke and wouldn't use anyone else now.

Luke is a colleague, a fellow writer, and co-member of a writer's critique group. In that group, he is known for giving well-considered, and excellent feedback, precise and helpful. Luke knows well the delicate process that is writing and is able to be helpful while also encouraging. It's a fine line and he has the gift. I recommend Luke whole heartedly to tutor writers at all skill levels.
