I am an experienced (over 7 years of teaching experience in UK) and qualified (BA in Guitar, MA in Composition) guitar tutor and performing musician based in North London. Over the past few years, I have been teaching students as diverse as young guitarists willing to pass their Rockschool guitar exam, to adult learners who just wanted to learn their favourite tunes on the guitar. They all had one thing in common: their passion for music. This, along with their determination to succeed is the main catalyst of my success as a teacher. I am a calm, patient teacher who encourages a stress-free and creative learning environment for students: I am aware that different people learn at different speed and in different ways and I customise my teaching method according to the student. I am also an active musician: I play guitar in various projects and regularly perform in and outside London. If performing / writing music is your goal, I can share my expertise with you and help you understand your musical voice! ABOUT MY LESSONS: -- Testimonials -- 'I have been having guitar lessons with Filippo for almost 3 years now and I can safely say that I have really enjoyed every lesson I’ve had. Not only has Filippo helped me achieve grades 4, 5 and 6 in the Trinity Guitar course, but he has also improved my technical understanding of the guitar. And of course, he is super knowledgeable in the guitar and is really great and patient when it comes to parts I don’t understand'. Adam from Finchley, London 'Filippo has been teaching guitar to my son and I for the last few years. He teaches my son electric and me acoustic. He has kept our interest by understanding the styles we like and teaching us the songs that suit our tastes. He focusses well on technique whilst always keeping it fun' Johnny from North London
