Im an experienced secondary science teacher who specialises in Biology. Also experienced at tutoring for A-level Biology

Amanda tutored our son for his science GCSEs. She is relaxed and informal spending time where he really needed support and getting him to think about how to apply his knowledge in the best way in exam questions. It made a big difference to his understanding and to his confidence. He has a great set of results in his sciences due in no small part to the sessions he had with Amanda.

Amanda tutored my daughter throughout year 11. My daughter hated science and really struggled to speak up in classes when finding lessons challenging. Amanda with her patience and fantastic subject knowledge transformed all of that! My daughter not only began to understand and learn, shes found it incredibly enjoyable and has even changed her A level choices to all three science subjects!!Amanda has amazing knowledge with not only Science but she understands the layout of GCSE exam papers and questions. She was able to break down the way to answer big markers for maximum effect.Amanda, you have been amazing. You have honestly transformed my child and her life choices, literally. Thank you for being amazing this past year. See you in September hopefully

Very patient and knowledgeable. my daughter really enjoys her lessons

Amanda has been amazing tutoring my daughter through all three sciences for her GCSE’s. My daughter built a great relationship with Amanda, she broke down the subject content in such a way that made it easy to understand and answer exam questions. Amanda was very good at reading the situation if my daughter really wasn’t understanding particular topics and she would then use real life examples to explain the content and meaning, this has been invaluable for my daughter who has just finished her GCSE’s. Amanda gave my daughter her confidence back with her sciences and she breezed through her exams. We will look to use Amanda again for A levels and would definitely recommend her services to anyone considering a science tutor
