Experienced online tutor helping primary and secondary students build confidence and real understanding in Maths, English, and Sci
Advert description
I've spent the last two years teaching Maths, English, and Science one-to-one to students at primary and secondary level, alongside leading a team of over 50 tutors — so I don't just tutor, I've also seen up close what actually helps students learn versus what just looks good on paper.
My approach starts with figuring out how a student learns best, not just what they need to cover. Some students need concepts broken into smaller steps; others need more practice questions before it clicks; some just need someone patient enough to let them get it wrong a few times first. I build each lesson around the student in front of me, not a fixed script.
I keep lessons focused and encouraging — clear explanations, real examples, and enough practice that the student leaves each session actually more confident, not just having "covered the material." I also keep parents in the loop on progress, so there are no surprises and everyone can see the improvement happening over time.
Whether it's catching up on a tricky topic, preparing for exams, or just building steady confidence in a subject, I focus on progress that actually sticks.
