Native of Rio de Janeiro, graduated from Instituto Lenguas Vivas in Buenos Aires as a Portuguese as a Second Language Teacher

Hello! I'm Larissa, a teacher with an infectious passion for teaching Portuguese as a Second Language (PSL). My educational journey began at the Instituto Lenguas Vivas in Buenos Aires, where I received my training as a PSL teacher. As a native of Rio de Janeiro living in Buenos Aires, I had the unique opportunity to deeply understand the challenges faced by foreigners learning a new language. This experience allowed me to naturally develop empathy and a sensitive approach to teaching, adapting my classes to meet the individual needs of students. In addition to my formal training, my career has been enriched with practical experiences. I worked as a translator for the Discovery Channel, performing Spanish to Portuguese translations and contributing to the creation of newsletters. This experience provided me with a comprehensive understanding of language and culture, skills that I dynamically incorporate into my classes. My goal is to make learning Portuguese an engaging, practical, and rewarding experience. I am committed to providing a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and enhance their language skills. I am excited to help you achieve your language goals and discover the richness of the Portuguese language together!
