I am a final year medical student who achieved a 9 in GCSE Maths and went on to further study Maths at A-level. I have 7 year's experience in teaching GCSE students, including GCSE Maths. I like to encourage a positive and inquisitive mindset during lessons. I have taught students at various abilities from really struggling with the subject to aiming for A*s/9s. As such, I strongly believe in adapting lessons to meet the goals and needs of the individual student as this is why private tutoring provides the extra support that school doesn't. My lessons are a good mix of covering the technical aspects of the specification, discussions to encourage wider thinking and exam practice.

Katelin taught my daughter throughout her GCSEs in English Literature, Language, Maths and Combined Sciences back in 2021. On average before we went to Katelin my daughter was getting 4s and 5s in these subjects. She worked so well with my daughter to try and understand her points of weaknesses and did a good job of building her confidence in the exams. Ultimately, she scored 7s with an 8 in Literature. I was always really happy with Katelin's approach to teaching over the 2 years from 2019 - 21. I would definitely recommend her to teach your students if they need that extra support, as she is great with answering questions and challenging students. Diana
