Expert History Tutoring for Key Stage 3 & 4 and GCSE Exam Preparation Online

Hi! I am a fully qualified British Humanities Teacher and former Head of Year. I hold a PGCE and Early Career Teacher (ECT) status, with 6 years of experience teaching the British curriculum both in the UK and in international schools abroad. I specialize directly in preparing students for Edexcel History and Cambridge Global Perspectives exams. My Teaching Approach I am known as an energetic, supportive, and goal-driven coach. My passion is making complex historical events and global topics simple and easy to understand. Because I have years of formal classroom experience, I know exactly how to plan lessons that adapt to your unique learning style, strengths, and academic challenges. I focus on building a comfortable, confident relationship with you so you can ask questions freely, boost your critical thinking, and drive real grade improvement. What We Will Focus On: • Mastering Exam Skills: I will teach you exactly how to read, understand, and deconstruct exam questions and mark schemes. • Shifting Knowledge to Grades: We will focus on advanced essay mechanics, source analysis, and critical thinking so you can turn your subject knowledge into top marks. • Coursework & Independent Research: Get structured, clear guidance to confidently curate, evaluate, and write high-scoring Global Perspectives research papers. Beyond the Classroom Outside of formal teaching, I have a deep passion for exploring the world, staying creative, and keeping active. I believe that being a great educator means bringing real-world experiences directly into our lessons to make learning come alive. • World Travel & History: My love for travel began when I was a young boy. I regularly venture out of my comfort zone to experience new cultures. From the rainforests of Madagascar to the serenity of Yosemite National Park in California, traveling keeps me grounded and feeds my endless appetite for learning about local histories. • High-Altitude Trekking: As a by-product of my travels, I am an avid hiker. I have completed challenging routes worldwide, including the Inca Trail in Peru and climbing the Lemosho Route on Mount Kilimanjaro. How This Helps You: We won't just look at words on a page. My global travels allow me to bring practical examples into our sessions—making complex debates easy to understand and deeply engaging. Let's get learning!
