Biochemistry Graduate Offering Science and Maths Tutoring to All Ages

I am committed to creating a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, challenge themselves, and achieve their personal academic goals. I am flexible with lesson format, offering both online and in-person sessions, and can adapt pacing and content to suit exam preparation, coursework support, or general confidence-building in science and maths. My goal is to help students not only improve academically but also enjoy the learning process, feel confident in their abilities, and develop independent study skills that last beyond the lessons. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. I start by understanding your current level, goals, and any specific challenges, then design each session to focus on clarity, understanding, and progress. Lessons typically combine: Concept explanations: breaking down complex topics in Biology, Chemistry, or Maths into manageable, clear steps. Guided practice: applying knowledge through problems, exercises, and exam-style questions to reinforce learning. Interactive discussions: encouraging questions and exploring topics in depth to build confidence and understanding. Review and feedback: summarising key points, identifying areas for improvement, and setting clear next steps. I bring over 10 years of professional experience supporting teams and managing projects, alongside a Biochemistry degree from the University of St Andrews. This background helps me teach not just the “what” but the “why” behind scientific concepts, making lessons engaging, practical, and results-focused. I also incorporate real-world examples and problem-solving exercises to connect theory to practical applications, helping students see the relevance of what they are learning.
