Primary School teacher able to tutor up to GCSE level

Hello, I’m Holly. I’m a 27 year old Primary School Teacher based in the Manchester borough. I have been a Primary School Teacher for the past two years working in Year 1, 3 and 5. Before that, I was a Teaching Assistant for 5 years working from Year 4 to Year 6, including helping to prep for the Year 6 SATS. Currently teaching in Year 1, we are prepping for the Phonics Screening test through Read, Write, Inc. we provide daily interventions for English, Maths and Phonics for my current class, as well as boosters to help the Year 6’s with their SATS exams. I am a caring and respectful person who loves to see children thrive and teach their potential. As someone who struggled with some aspects of the curriculum growing up, I can adapt and tailor sessions to suit each individual child. I believe in getting to know a child’s strength and areas for development is key in enhancing this further. Equally, this will allow me to adapt approaches to ensure children understand. I have a bank of resources - printed, online and concretes that would be accessible for the children to use during a session.
