Friendly and supportive A-Level Biology Tutor

I am a highly passionate scientist, with experience in teaching. I possess a biomedical science degree, a masters degree and a PhD. I have a very calm and subtle teaching approach and place a lot of emphasis in application of knowledge to prepare students in their examinations. My teaching methods incorporate a variety of mediums, including visual diagrams and videos when appropriate. Furthermore, I place emphasis on past paper questions, in order to equip pupils with the correct exam techniques. My aims are not only to equip students with the necessary skills to excel in their exams, but also to make learning the content enjoyable and inspiring. I always begin my lessons by asking the pupil if they have any questions or find any areas that they have covered in school particularly challenging. I then go over the content that they find challenging, while testing their theoretical knowledge on the way. I then spend the rest of the lesson going through exam questions and mark their answers with them. I prefer to focus on 1 or 2 topics per lesson to not overwhelm my students.
