CTCSOL-certified Mandarin teacher, academic expertise and hands-on teaching experience with all age group from beginner to advance

With a Master’s degree in Linguistics and a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language from Peking University, I possess an in-depth understanding of Mandarin not only as a native speaker but as a linguistic specialist. My current teaching role at De Montfort University involves instructing HSK courses for adult learners, while I also deliver engaging Mandarin lessons in both primary and secondary schools. My teaching philosophy is centered around making language learning both enjoyable and immersive. I integrate real-life scenario simulations, role-playing, and pronunciation correction techniques to enhance students' confidence and proficiency. Whether following a structured textbook syllabus or designing personalized learning programs, I adapt my methods to meet each student’s goals. Additionally, I foster a fun and interactive environment, believing that engagement is key to language acquisition. My students not only appreciate my structured guidance but also my ability to make learning an enjoyable and enriching experience.
