Native Mandarin Tutor with UCL Education Background and Putonghua Certificate

Hello, my name is Xinnan Zhou. I am a native Mandarin speaker and currently studying MA Education at UCL. I hold a Putonghua Proficiency Certificate, Level 2A, and have experience supporting children’s English learning as a teaching assistant. I am passionate about language teaching and helping students build confidence. I teach Mandarin Chinese for beginners, children, and students who want to improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, speaking, listening, and basic reading skills. My lessons are friendly, patient, and student-centred. I can adapt lessons to each student’s level and learning goals, whether they want to learn Mandarin for school, travel, daily conversation, or cultural interest. In my lessons, I use clear explanations, examples, speaking practice, games, and cultural topics to make learning enjoyable and practical. I can also introduce Chinese culture, festivals, pronunciation practice, tones, Pinyin, and basic characters. I am patient, supportive, and responsible, and I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to speak and ask questions.
