Friendly Primary Tutor | Reading & Phonics & Maths

Hi I’m a Primary Education student with experience supporting children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 as a Teaching Assistant. I’m passionate about helping children enjoy learning, build confidence and reach their full potential in a calm, supportive environment. I specialise in supporting Reception to Year 2 pupils with phonics, early reading, English and maths. Whether your child needs extra support, wants to build confidence or simply benefits from additional practice, I tailor every lesson to their individual needs and learning style. My lessons are engaging, encouraging and personalised. I use a variety of activities, games and practical resources to make learning enjoyable while helping children develop the key skills they need both in school and at home. I have experience working with children in both one-to-one and small group settings, including those who need extra support with classwork or confidence. My aim is to create a positive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their progress. A typical lesson includes a warm-up activity, focused teaching, interactive practice and a recap to reinforce learning. I also provide parents with a brief update after each session so you know exactly what your child has worked on and how they’re progressing. I’d love to support your child’s learning journey and help them grow in both confidence and ability.
