Experienced Online Chemistry & Biology Tutor for GCSE, IGCSE & A-Level

My name is Prince Okon, and I am a highly dedicated and experienced online Chemistry and Biology tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience supporting secondary school and pre-university students across different curricula. I work with students from diverse academic backgrounds, including those following the UK GCSE and A-Level system, IGCSE, Canadian curriculum, and other international programmes. My goal is simple but powerful: to help students truly understand science, build confidence, and achieve strong academic results. Over the years, I have discovered that many students struggle in Chemistry and Biology not because they lack ability, but because they have not been taught in a way that matches their learning style. My teaching philosophy is centred on clarity, patience, and structured guidance. I believe every student can succeed in science when lessons are explained clearly, reinforced consistently, and linked to real-life examples and exam expectations. My Teaching Experience and Background I bring more than a decade of hands-on teaching experience in Chemistry and Biology, working with students at different ability levels—from those who are struggling and need foundational support, to high-achieving learners aiming for top grades. I have taught both in classroom settings and online environments, which has given me a strong understanding of how to adapt lessons effectively for virtual learning. My experience includes: * Teaching Chemistry and Biology at secondary school level * Supporting students preparing for GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level examinations * One-on-one online tutoring for international students across different time zones * Helping students improve exam technique, scientific reasoning, and independent study skills Through these experiences, I have developed a flexible teaching style that adapts to each student’s needs, pace, and academic goals. Subjects and Levels I Teach I specialise in the following areas: Chemistry * Atomic structure and periodic trends * Chemical bonding and intermolecular forces * Stoichiometry and quantitative chemistry * Acids, bases, and salts * Rates of reaction and chemical equilibrium * Energetics and thermochemistry * Organic chemistry etc.
