FROM (1) ABOVE X = 8 - 2Y-(3), SUBSTITUTE AS X IN (2)
: 2X + 3Y =-(2)
2(8 - 2Y) + 3Y = 15
16 - 4Y + 3Y = 15
16 - Y = 15
Y =-: Y = 1.
IN (3) X = 8 - 2Y
: X = 8 - 2 X 1, X =-X = 6.
ANSWER X = 6 AND Y = 1
CHECK
X - 2Y =-+ 2 = 8
2X = 3Y =-+3 = 15
