English Tutor with PGCE and TEFL experience

I believe every learner is different and a bond needs to be created whereby we are both working in a way that is best suited to you. I am an English teacher with 3 years experience teaching both Functional Skills and GCSE. This year I have just finished planning and delivering a SOW that is designed to help students who failed their GCSE exam in secondary school and must 're-sit'. Naturally, these students lack self-esteem as learners and so lessons need to be highly engaging and tailored to their needs. My lessons are succinct and simplify the whole exam curriculum in an academic year. In my lessons I try to incorporated a range of teaching strategies and resources, utilizing technology, group activities, and class debate. My experience as a GCSE English teacher has equipped me with a deep understanding of the curriculum, assessment methods, and teaching strategies required to help students succeed.
