Advert description

Hi, I am an experienced Italian mother tongue based in London over the last 20 years. I have a Master Degree in International Politics including Foreign languages studies. I have taught Italian over the last 25 years one to one, group classes for work, study or leisure purposes. My way of teaching is tailored to the client needs and is very personal. There are clients whose Italian is already very developed and they mainly want to practice their conversation skills and so we focus on that. On the contrary, others are willing to focus on both grammar and speaking. Listening is also one of the most difficult challenge for students so we create interactive situations in which they have to deal with specific situations (for example "in a shop" or "in a restaurant" etc..) so that we create a proper dialogue. It also depends on the level of course. I teach beginners to advanced level. I often devide the lesson into four parts: grammar, conversation, listening, exercises. I teach adults. I have very good social and communication skills, good listening and understanding. I find that also creativity is very important in order to make the lesson entertaining and enjoyable.

Chiara is a professional, reliable, well-organized and committed tutor. She's patient, friendly and gentle in her approach to teach Italian. She's prompt and always well prepared when the lesson starts. She's also very flexible - I appreciated she could offered face-to-face tutoring as well as virtual one via zoom - and makes sure that her clients' goals are met while still maintaining an impeccable level of authenticity to the language she's teaching and her teaching style. She's greatly recommended!

Being an actress I needed to polish my Italian diction and I was referred to Chiara by another colleague of mine who had studied with her before. Chiara listened to my needs very carefully and with a very friendly approach she tailored a programme of lessons aimed to get rid of my regional accent. That allowed me to do my acting job successfully. I then referred Chiara to foreign friends who wanted to learn and develop their knowledge of the Italian language, both grammar and conversation. They were very satisfied too. I can strongly recommend Chiara as an excellent experienced Italian tutor as well as a reliable, professional and very nice person.
