Math tutoring for students of all ages, especially College level students

I have a PhD in Applied Mathematics. I am currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Southern California. Over 20 years of experience teaching and doing research at several Spanish and American Universities. I can teach both in Spanish and English, both in person in the Irvine/Tustin/Santa Ana area and online. I can help your student with College Math, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probabilities and Statistics. Understanding mathematical concepts can be challenging. I make it easier by providing relevant examples, connecting with previous concepts and giving a historical perspective. Students not only learn how to solve mathematical problems but why they are solved the way they are and why they are relevant. These strategies have proven very effective in my teaching experience. I can provide a large number of references, both from my former College students and from students I have privately tutored.
